I love the sound of An-12 turboprop engines which could be clearly heard even when it flies high on cruise altitude. The sound is noticeable for a very long time period until AN-12 slowly flies further away

Virgin Atlantic planes are very rare in my area

Nice report, you always have different airlines or aircraft every time you post I wonder what caused the VS A340 to pass over...maybe a storm or perhaps its a new routing for this flight?
The weather here is still bad, and yesterday I watched the radar as the Emirates A380 passed over... it was a painful experience!

Well I have observed VS250 flight London-Shanghai very rarely (1-2x per year) on UN858 before as well, so it's not a new routing, but a very rare routing indeed. I guess sometimes when unusual conditions exist Virgin flies on this route.
I understand your pain for not seeing Emirates A380. I also watch closely their JFK-DXB flights. Occasionaly they fly above me. But the A380 did not fly that routing yet

Yesterday, a lot of aircraft were being guided around some hefty storm clouds. I caught these two which I dont normally see, unfortunately no contrail...

I was trying to capture this flight for long time. But usually it departed later than scheduled and flies over me in darkness. But that day it departed on time and I had still some lighting to make a picture

Firs time I see B762. Replaced the usual 737 on this route.
