And typical autumn weather today, lots of clouds, rain. But in the afternoon there was a 30min clear gap in the sky, just enough to get few pics for me

Hi,

Nice MD-11's ContrailsUK. I am always happy to see them flying, because they are dying breed, between so many boring twin jets.

The contrails shadow pic is also very nice.

Hello,

MD-11s are quite regular for me, as I see a lot of KLM and Martinair going to/from the Caribbean. Also quite a few cargo flights like world airways fly over.

At the begining of September I was on a journey in Germany, and on one afternoon I had the opportunity to do contrail photography in one location in Germany. I was a bit lazy, that only now I took some time to process those photos

My location that afternoon was in Norhtern Germany 30km east of Bremen, just below UP605 airway:

I was quiet shocked after this one hour spotting session, because I did not see any new airplanes. I always see Air France B777's almost daily and KDAvia's 737's, Air France A319's even more than 3-4 times per day from my home,

I was dissappointed that being over 1000km from home I caught the same airplanes I see everyday in my hometown
